Salary Range:

$146,542.00 - $234,467.00

Leads the work of an Information Technology (IT) work unit(s) across a minimum of 75% of the Health System sites including Albany Med, Columbia Memorial Hospital, The Saratoga Hospital, and Glens Falls Hospital. Assists executives and peers in developing application and technology management strategies and tactics. Develops and evolves the Albany Med Health System's technology portfolio in alignment with the application and technology architectural framework and standards. Directs business process analysis, research and analysis, and project management methodology to assure understanding of user and business requirements and ensure those requirements can be agreed and achieved through high quality deliverables either through Vendor delivered solutions or internally developed programs. Works closely with the business/clinicals use leadership, vendors, developers, and engineers throughout the planning cycle to align application advancements. Understand the interactions between systems, applications, technologies and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions. Educate the workforce as to programming and analysis best practices. Analyze and test systems to assure usability, performance, security, and reliability.
Leads the work of the Clinical Engineering work unit across a multi hospital health system. Assists executives in developing application and technology management strategies. Responsible for directing system development lifecycle work such application requirements analysis, design, procurement, development, implementation, and maintenance while assuring interoperability with the rest of the organizations application systems and related Clinical Engineering infrastructure. Develops and evolves the organizations architectural framework for hardware and software lifecycle management guiding information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts. Directs business process analysis, research and analysis, and project management methodology to assure understanding of user and business requirements and ensure those requirements can be agreed and achieved through high quality deliverables. Work closely with the business users, vendors, developers, and engineers to continuously monitor evolving business needs and application and technology advancements. Understand the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions. Educate the organization as to environment and technology changes influencing clinical process and technology choices. Analyze and test systems to assure usability, performance, security, and reliability.
