Job Title: Director of Business Development, Commercial Markets Position Type: Full-Time. This position requires a Permanent Resident or a U.S. citizen.
Location: Rockville, MD preferred; Washington, DC metro area strongly preferred, with travel to customer and partner sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities - Strategic Growth: Design and execute a high-impact commercial growth strategy, identifying key industry pain points where our Cloud, DevOps, and Automation capabilities provide a competitive edge.
- Pipeline Excellence: Build and manage a robust pipeline of new business, including direct project-based SOWs, managed services, and strategic consulting engagements.
- Executive Relationship Management: Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and Business Unit leaders, navigating complex procurement and vendor management offices.
- Solution Positioning: Translate client business needs into technical strategies leveraging our expertise in Generative AI, RPA (Appian, UiPath), Zero Trust, and Data Governance.
- Collaborative Capture: Lead account planning and opportunity qualification, partnering with delivery, solution architecture, and pricing teams to build winning, scalable proposals.
- Ecosystem Partnerships: Cultivate strategic alliances with Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Enterprise vendors (SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow) to enhance market reach.
- Brand Advocacy: Represent the company at major industry conferences and forums to increase brand visibility and generate high-quality leads.
Required Qualifications - Experience: 10+ years of successful business development or account management experience within commercial/enterprise IT markets.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record of closing wins in IT services, digital transformation, cloud, or managed services.
- Sales Acumen: Deep understanding of commercial buying cycles, RFI/RFP processes, and executive-level decision-making dynamics.
- Collaboration: Experience working in matrixed environments with pre-sales, recruiting, and delivery teams to turn leads into awards.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications - Vertical Depth: Strong existing networks within Healthcare (HIPAA environments), Financial Services, or Retail/E-commerce.
- Tech Stack Knowledge: Experience selling AI/ML, MLOps, ERP modernization, or Test Automation (IV&V).
- Location: Based in the Washington, D.C./Rockville area for easy collaboration with our core team.
Performance Expectations (First 3 to 4 Months) - Develop a measurable commercial pipeline with clearly defined account plans for priority verticals.
