Your Opportunity

Director of Bank Lending Experience & Delivery – August 2026

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career while shaping how clients and advisors experience lending within a modern wealth management ecosystem. The Director of Bank Lending Experience & Delivery will hold shared ownership of the Bank Lending product experience and lead the delivery of lending solutions across the enterprise—one of the most critical components of the client and advisor relationship.

This role partners with the business product owners for Pledged Asset Line (PAL), Structured Asset Line (SAL), and Home Lending to shape a differentiated, connected lending experience, while owning and coordinating a unified Bank Lending product roadmap in close partnership with technical teams. You will also be accountable for successful delivery of these solutions by aligning business architecture, product, and technology teams around a shared roadmap, clear priorities, and execution outcomes.

This leader plays a central role in simplifying and streamlining how lending is built and delivered at Schwab—reducing handoffs, creating clear end-to-end accountability, and translating a single roadmap into iterative, high-value delivery while maintaining the rigor required in a highly regulated environment.

As the Director of Bank Lending Experience & Delivery, you will:

  • Hold shared ownership of the Bank Lending product experience, partnering with the business product owners for PAL, SAL, and Home Lending to design intuitive, connected client, advisor, and representative journeys.
  • Own and coordinate a unified Bank Lending product roadmap across PAL, SAL, Home Lending/Mortgage, and HELOC, sequencing work in close coordination with technical partners to deliver against a clear, prioritized strategy.
  • Lead planning and execution readiness for lending solutions—translating business strategy into prioritized outcomes that support roadmap development, backlog readiness and PI Planning activities.
  • Partner and closely collaborate with the Product Owner (PO) group who own and manage the product backlogs, write technical requirements and user stories, and direct the technical scrum teams in partnership with Bank Technology.
  • Own the agile / technology delivery partnership—sequencing and coordinating delivery, managing dependencies and delivery risk, and orchestrating large, cross-team efforts.
  • Own client, advisor, and rep digital experience quality—journey design and discovery, usability validation, digital adoption and ease, and front-end channel dependencies—partnering with design to prototype and validate solutions.
  • Drive intake and requirements management, running discovery to validate the problem, refining requirements, and documenting the single source of requirements truth for the business.
  • Reduce handoffs and establish clear end-to-end accountability, moving from a multi-handoff process to a simplified operating model that drives clarity and speed of delivery.
  • Partner deeply with Bank Technology on solution architecture, technical design, and release execution, ensuring the roadmap is technically feasible and aligned to platform capability and speed to market.
  • Assign priority to the highest-value work, supporting value scoring and PI prioritization across PAL, SAL, Mortgage, and technical enhancements.
  • Balance innovation with strong risk management, regulatory compliance, and controls, ensuring all solutions meet the standards expected in banking.
  • Define success metrics and measurable outcomes that demonstrate client experience improvement, operational efficiency, and business impact.
  • Lead with urgency, strong judgment, and emotional intelligence—moving delivery forward while building alignment across product, experience, delivery, and technology stakeholders.
What you have

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, with significant experience across banking, lending, or integrated advice platforms.
  • Deep expertise in lending and/or banking experiences, with a strong understanding of risk, regulatory, and control frameworks.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including leading full lifecycle product managers and building high-performing teams (team size ~5+).
  • Demonstrated experience owning and managing a product roadmap across multiple products or domains, translating strategy into prioritized, sequenced delivery.
  • Strong delivery and execution background in an agile environment—business architecture, backlog management, PI planning, epics/stories, dependency management, and scrum team orchestration.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and elevate end-to-end client and advisor experiences in highly regulated environments, including journey design, usability validation, and digital adoption.
  • Strong product strategy, roadmap development, and execution skills in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.
  • Ability to synthesize client needs, regulatory constraints, and business priorities into clear product and delivery decisions.
  • Experience working closely with risk, compliance, legal, and business partners to deliver compliant, scalable experiences.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders, business product owners, and technology stakeholders.
  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills across product, experience, delivery, technology, and design teams.
  • High emotional intelligence with a leadership style that balances urgency, accountability, and strong partnership.

Preferred

  • Experience across securities-based lending (PAL, SAL), mortgage, and HELOC products and their vendor/partner ecosystems.
  • Experience owning or translating platform strategy and business architecture into technical requirements and backlog readiness.
  • Experience managing vendor and technical partner relationships (e.g., FIS/ALS platform, Rocket/Home Lending partners, Supernova).
  • Experience leading large-scale modernization or operating-model transformation efforts within banking or financial services.
  • Familiarity with credit, liquidity, and client cash management dynamics within wealth relationships.
