Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe Associate Development and Training Director is responsible for leading the planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of associate training, leadership development, tracking training metrics, onboard training initiatives, and professional growth programs across Martin-Harris Construction. This position supports the company's commitment to placing people over projects by fostering a culture of lifelong learning, operational excellence, leadership development, and associate engagement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide associate development, training, onboarding, and orientation programs that align with organizational objectives.
• Partner with subject matter experts and business unit leaders to design structured career pathways, identify organizational capability gaps, and implement targeted learning and development solutions.
• Lead leadership development initiatives, including coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and professional development programs that strengthen the organization's leadership pipeline.
• Manage compliance training, certifications, continuing education, training records, calendars, participation tracking, and organizational learning metrics.
• Facilitate committees, workshops, presentations, and training events while coordinating with internal stakeholders, external vendors, educational institutions, and industry partners.
• Research, evaluate, and implement innovative learning strategies, instructional technologies, and best practices to enhance workforce development.
• Measure program effectiveness through participation data, performance metrics, associate feedback, and business outcomes, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Support organizational performance by aligning development initiatives with company expectations, reinforcing Martin-Harris Construction's culture and values, and providing strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the Associate Development and Training Directorate.
• Manage the development and training portal utilizing AI and other toolkits.
QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent leadership experience will be considered.
• 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in training and development, organizational development, human resources, operational management, military leadership, or a related discipline, with demonstrated success designing and leading workforce development initiatives.
• Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles, leadership development, performance improvement, and organizational effectiveness, with the ability to translate strategy into practical learning solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage associates at all organizational levels.
• Highly organized, self-directed professional capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality, exercising sound judgment, and collaborating effectively across departments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position primarily operates in an office environment but may require travel to jobsites, training events, and company facilities. Occasional standing, walking, lifting training materials, and presenting to groups may be required.
