Director of Admissions to lead census development, referral management, and admissions operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee all admissions processes and ensure smooth patient transitions into the facility
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and community partners
- Drive census growth through strategic business development initiatives
- Evaluate referrals and coordinate with clinical teams to determine admission appropriateness
- Collaborate with leadership to achieve occupancy goals
- Monitor market trends and identify new referral opportunities
- Coordinate tours for prospective residents and families
- Ensure compliance with all facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate admission and referral documentation
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Director of Admissions, Admissions Coordinator, Liaison, or Business Development professional in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Rehabilitation Center, or Long-Term Care setting
- Strong knowledge of SNF admissions processes and referral management
- Established relationships within the Melbourne and surrounding healthcare market preferred
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proven track record of increasing census and developing referral partnerships
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
