Job Overview
The Director of Admissions is a leadership position reporting to the Associate Chief Enrollment Officer and serves as a key member of the Enrollment Management Services Leadership team. The Director will inspire, motivate, and equip the staff with the vision, skills, and confidence to execute an ambitious enrollment agenda for CSUSM. Leading the staff who successfully process over 35,000 applications each academic year, this position shares a strategic vision for both technology and staff development. This position is responsible for implementing processes and procedures that are compliant at the legislative level, at the California State University level, and at the local campus level. In addition to implementation responsibility, the Director of Admissions is a thought partner to the campus community. Enrollment experiences will diversify to a wider range of learners, as will the potential for innovations in the Admissions application experience. These innovations will require the use of technology in our student information system, imaging software, and other third-party platforms such as customer relationship management tools and admissions application software. This position helps oversee transfer student recruitment and outreach approaches in conjunction with the campus Recruitment and Outreach leadership. The incumbent will have knowledge around using and obtaining data as it relates to admissions trends at the local, state and national level in both the public and private educational institutions.

This is a full-time, exempt position in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP). MPP positions serve at the pleasure of the President.
Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $9,000 - $11,000 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,053 - $16,221 per month
Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
