Job Description Summary
Serve as the leader for Transamerica Model Risk Management (MRM) Analytics & Reporting.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Functional ownership of the MRM platform including data input, data integrity & completeness and platform-based reporting
  • Responsible for supporting BU teams with respect to:
    • MRM governance training, compliance, and reporting
    • MRM Platform training
    • Model Validation Cycle planning & reporting
    • Model Risk analytics & reporting
  • Help design and prepare reporting materials for senior oversight committees and other stakeholders as needed
  • Administer, analyze, maintain and evolve MRM's model risk scoring system/process
  • Support the model validation team with analytics & reporting as needed
  • Help manage relationships with key BU stakeholders to drive and embed an enhanced model risk culture

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, finance, or relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience in model risk management or internal controls, or equivalent management experience in an operational role with strong knowledge of model risk management or internal controls
  • Progressive leadership experience in model risk management, internal controls, or relevant field
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Comfortable with data analytics and communicating with charts & graphs
  • Experience with databases and SQL
  • Experience with coding in Python, R or other statistical modeling language
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced organization and prioritize multiple initiatives
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Business, Economics, or Finance
  • Strong knowledge and/or experience in the insurance or financial services industry

Working Conditions
  • This is a hybrid position requiring three days (Tuesday-Thursday) in office per week in one of our hub locations (Baltimore or Philadelphia).
  • Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position
  • Travel as needed for internal meetings (


Compensation

The salary for this position generally ranges between $170,000 - $200,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus of 25% based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.
