Job Description
Responsible for directing, planning and organizing resources within medical imaging departments to meet short and long term department goals, maintains patient experience and employee engagement. Prepares and analyzes budget and appropriately directs resources to meet financial goals. Manages team members and management staff, recommends or implements appropriate policies and procedures.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Leads an Imaging Services group by communicating with and developing staff members, and building consensus for programs and goals that support a business, function or geographic area.
2. Plans, directs and evaluates all the technical aspects of the department's services and programs.
3. Oversees the quality assurance programs to continuously monitor QA/QC indicators. Ensures adherence to various regulatory and accreditation standards.
4. Develops policies to safeguard patient's medical data and maintains integrity while sharing medical images and results. Ensures conformity with patient confidentiality guideline and takes appropriate actions in case of disobedience.
5. Oversees budget development, including operational and capital budgets with attention to department and organizational program goals, established standards of performance, and economic constraints.
6. Recommends changes in the existing imaging protocols in order to enhance patient care.
7. Collaborates with radiology supervisors to develop standards for recruitment, interviewing and development of staff.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Radiology or a related field.
2. 5-7 years of experience in Medical Imaging or relevant area.
Preferred:
1. Master's degree preferred.
2. 7-10 years of experience in Medical Imaging or relevant area.
3. 5+ years of Medical Imaging leadership experience in a Hospital setting preferred.
