Position SummaryThe Director, Leadership, Culture & Change is a strategic leader within the Global Integration Management Office (IMO) responsible for driving successful organizational adoption of acquisitions, integrations, and transformation initiatives.
The role leads the people side of integration by developing and executing strategies related to leadership alignment, culture integration, organizational change management, communications, stakeholder engagement, and colleague experience. Working closely with executive sponsors, Integration Leads, HR leadership, Communications teams, and business stakeholders, the Director ensures organizational readiness and sustainable adoption throughout the integration lifecycle.
The Director serves as the firm's subject matter expert for integration-related change management and culture transformation, helping ensure that strategic business objectives are achieved while maintaining employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership Alignment- Partner with executives and integration sponsors to align leadership teams around integration objectives.
- Facilitate leadership workshops, strategy sessions, and decision-making forums.
- Identify and address leadership alignment gaps that may create integration risk.
- Support executive teams in communicating vision, priorities, and progress.
Organizational Change Management- Develop and implement change management strategies for acquisitions and transformation initiatives partnering with the Global Transformation Office.
- Conduct stakeholder impact assessments and organizational readiness evaluations.
- Create and execute adoption plans to support transition to future-state operating models.
- Monitor adoption effectiveness and adjust change strategies as needed.
Culture Integration- Assess cultural differences between organizations and identify integration opportunities and risks.
- Develop culture integration strategies that align with firm values and business objectives.
- Facilitate culture workshops, listening sessions, and engagement activities.
- Track culture integration progress and employee feedback.
Communications & Engagement- Partner with Communications to develop comprehensive communication strategies throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Facilitate the execution of executive communications, leader toolkits, talking points, and employee messaging working with Corporate Communications.
- Support employee engagement activities during periods of organizational change.
Colleague Experience- Design initiatives that support employees through integration and transformation activities.
- Identify risks related to employee experience, retention, and engagement.
- Recommend actions to improve workforce readiness and organizational effectiveness.
- Support onboarding and assimilation of acquired employees.
Integration Governance- Serve as the change management lead for major integration programs.
- Participate in integration governance and leadership forums.
- Maintain reporting related to change adoption, culture integration, communication effectiveness, and colleague engagement.
- Provide regular status updates and recommendations to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required.
- 10+ years of experience in organizational change management, leadership development, culture transformation, HR consulting, communications, integration management, or related disciplines.
- Experience leading large-scale organizational change initiatives.
- Demonstrated success influencing executive leaders and complex stakeholder groups.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Experience developing change management and communication strategies.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or major transformation initiatives.
- Professional services industry experience.
- Consulting experience within organizational change, human capital, or transformation practices.
- Change management certifications.
- Experience supporting global organizations and cross-border integrations.
The base salary range for this position is between $187,500 and $359,000. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton's discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity. At Grant Thornton, compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
