Full Job Description
Reporting to the Corporate Counsel Director, the International trade and sanctions lawyer will navigate legal and business issues in a complex domestic and international environment supporting 100+ business units worldwide.

Position Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Advise business units and corporate stakeholders on export control matters (including ITAR and EAR compliance), import matters, anti-corruption matters, economic sanctions (including OFAC),anti-boycott, and other trade compliance risks (including customs);
  • Conduct company-wide import, export, sanctions, and anti-corruption compliance training and periodically update corresponding compliance manuals;
  • In partnership with AMETEK Law Department personnel, conduct audits to test and confirm trade and sanctions compliance activities of business units;
  • Prepare responses to subpoenas for import, export, sanctions and anti-corruption compliance matters;
  • Prepare and file voluntary disclosures related to import, export, sanctions and anti-corruption issues;
  • Implement and manage trade screening tools;
  • Assist with due diligence for mergers and acquisitions in all areas of trade compliance; and
  • Work collaboratively with AMETEK Law Department personnel to (i) review and revise all relevant manuals and related documentation, and (ii) assist with the review, revision, and negotiation of export / import / bribery (and similar) provisions in commercial agreements.


Required Skills and Experience:
  • J.D. and current bar membership; and
  • 15+ years of law firm or combined in-house and law firm experience.
