Job Details:
PurposeInvestigate complaints of alleged violations of the University’s non-discrimination policy, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and University Nondiscrimination Policy; Title IX; University consensual relationship policy; and retaliation for protected activity relating to the foregoing categories of discrimination, in both the employment and student context.
Responsibilities- Analyze and interpret applicable policies.
- Interview all relevant participants associated with complaints and document the investigative process by logging all contacts and evidence and accurately summarizing participant interviews.
- Write a comprehensive investigative report that accurately summarizes all relevant investigative findings.
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of the university's formal position statements in response to charges of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Texas Workforce Commission - Civil Rights Division, the Department of Labor, and/or the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights.
- Assisting in the intake process and completing other duties as assigned.
- Participate in the adjudication process by presenting investigative findings and responding to questions.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsMaster’s or Law degree and more than five years of investigative or related experience.
Salary Range$85,000 + depending on qualifications
