The Director, BYLVAY Marketing is a critical member of the brand team, responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives focused on growing adult segment of the business. This role focuses on driving awareness, education, and engagement across key stakeholders with a strong focus on healthcare provider marketing. This role requires a deep understanding of the adult hepatology & gastroenterology landscape, as well as ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of patients and the HCPs who treat them. Ideal candidate should also have experience with product differentiation in a competitive market place. Cross-functional leadership skills and proven track record of building and executing marketing plans in collaboration with multiple cross-functional partners are critical in this role.
This role requires scientific acumen, deep marketing expertise, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver results through others.
WHAT - Main ResponsibilitiesBrand Strategy
- Develop and operate annual tactical plan and operational budget for US market
- Own and drive the adult segment strategy, positioning, and evolution for Bylvay messaging and materials including tactical development and execution
- Ensure a single, cohesive brand narrative and aligned prioritization across all initiatives integrating growth drivers such as market development, patient finding, brand differentiation , into one unified strategy
- Adapt global brand strategy to meet U.S. market needs while maintaining alignment with global direction
- Manage field training and communications in connection with cholestatic genetic testing
Commercial Accountability
- Deliver revenue , and profitability targets for the brand
- Lead integrated tactical planning and execution across HCPs, patients & value & access for adult segment
- Partner with sales team to co-own field execution and pull-through, ensuring brand strategy drives results
- Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and resource allocation to maximize ROI
- Monitor performance, identify risks/opportunities, and drive rapid course correction
- Ensure strong insights generation, analytics, and market intelligence to inform decisions
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Incorporate insights from primary and secondary research into development of field promotional tactics
- Share leadership responsibilities for regular cross-functional meetings including congress planning, national field meetings, brand team meetings and business reviews
- Work with analytics and operations to ensure the correct tools are in place to monitor brand strategy
HOW - Knowledge & ExperienceKnowledge & Experience (essential):
- At least 12 years of Biopharma commercial experience; minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial marketing experience
- Sales or field-based experience strongly preferred
- Mentally agile and solutions-oriented, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly, and drive practical solutions in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to influence others
- Ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong scientific/medical aptitude and experience including knowledge of complex therapeutic areas and dynamic treatment landscapes
- Knowledge of regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities.
- Working within an environment of strict compliance to all appropriate regulatory guidelines to successfully design and execute tactics, programs and tools that achieve business objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal skills and strong interpersonal communication skills

- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required

CompensationThe annual base salary range for this position is $190,500 - $265,000

The pay range displayed above is the range of base pay compensation within which Ipsen expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and demonstrated skills.
