Full Job Description
About the Role:
We're looking for a Director, Global Compensation to build and scale the compensation programs that power Hims & Hers as we grow into new markets and categories. You'll own the strategy, design, and execution of pay programs across the company - from base pay and bonus structures to equity and executive compensation - partnering closely with People, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to make sure our approach to pay is competitive, equitable, and built to scale.
This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role for someone who loves translating ambiguous, fast-moving business needs into clear, defensible compensation frameworks - and who's just as comfortable in a board deck as they are in a spreadsheet.
You Will:
Own global compensation strategy end-to-end, including base pay structures, incentive design, and equity programs across all levels and geographies.
Design and lead the annual compensation cycle - merit, bonus, and equity refresh - in partnership with People Business Partners and business leaders.
Partner with Senior Leadership on executive and board compensation, proxy disclosures, and pay governance for a publicly traded company.
Build and maintain competitive market pricing, salary structures, and leveling frameworks that scale as we expand into new roles, functions, and countries.
Lead pay equity analysis and reporting, ensuring our practices are fair, consistent, and compliant across jurisdictions.
Advise on offer structuring, promotions, and internal equity for critical and executive-level hires.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes (pay transparency, minimum wage, equity taxation) and adapt programs accordingly.
Build scalable tools, dashboards, and processes that give People and Finance partners self-serve access to compensation data and insights.
Manage and mentor a growing team of compensation professionals, and act as the compensation subject-matter expert across the company.
You Have:
10+ years of progressive compensation experience, including 3+ years leading a compensation function at a high-growth or publicly traded company.
Deep expertise in executive compensation, equity administration, and Compensation Committee support.
A track record of designing and running compensation cycles, job architecture, and leveling frameworks at scale.
Strong command of compensation regulations, including multi-state and international pay transparency and pay equity requirements.
Excellent analytical skills and fluency with compensation data, market surveys (e.g., Radford, Mercer), and modeling tools.
A collaborative, low-ego style - you build trust easily with executives, People partners, and employees alike.
Sharp written and verbal communication skills; you can make complex pay topics clear and simple.
Experience partnering with Legal and Finance on SEC disclosures and public company compensation governance is a strong plus.
Our Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):
Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles
Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days
Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave
Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)
401k benefits with employer matching contribution
Offsite team retreats
