Full Job Description
THE POSITION:

Working closely with senior leaders in Nardello & Co.'s Financial Investigations and Forensic Accounting practice, and reporting to the Managing Director & Global Practice Coordinator for Financial Investigations & Forensic Accounting. the Senior Director will be an integral member of our growing Financial Investigations & Forensic Accounting practice supporting complex, high-stakes investigative matters. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled senior forensic accounting professional who can manage matters day to day, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, work directly with clients and counsel, and maintain rigorous product quality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Support complex forensic accounting and financial investigations, including matters involving suspected fraud, accounting irregularities, books-and-records issues, regulatory inquiries, asset tracing, bankruptcy and insolvency issues, and compliance advisory work.
  • Manage day-to-day workstreams, supervise team members, coordinate with case managers and senior leadership, and drive matters to completion under tight deadlines.
  • Work with Nardello & Co.'s multidisciplinary teams, including research professionals and members of the Digital Investigations & Cyber Risk team, to integrate investigative research, open-source intelligence, data analysis, and other specialized capabilities into forensic accounting assignments.
  • Draft and present findings in concise written reports, financial analyses, visual exhibits, and verbal presentations for clients, counsel, case managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Support expert analysis and testimony by helping develop factual records, financial models, damages or loss analyses, and supporting materials for litigation, arbitration, regulatory, and investigative matters.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the practice by identifying market opportunities, supporting proposals and pitches, developing thought leadership, and helping shape the firm's broader forensic accounting strategy.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in forensic accounting, financial investigations, litigation support, or a related advisory discipline at a global forensic accounting, disputes, investigations, or advisory practice at a major professional services firm, such as the Big 4.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, confidential matters in both investigative and advisory contexts, including work involving fraud, corruption, accounting issues, regulatory compliance, asset tracing, damages, or funds-flow analysis.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize competing demands, supervise team members, manage budgets, and deliver high-quality work under time pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial issues clearly to lawyers, clients, and non-accounting audiences.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset to support business development, and a record of demonstrating credibility, discretion, risk management awareness, sound judgment, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Financial statement audit, internal controls assessment, monitorships, and forensic data analytics experience preferred. Broad sector experience is a plus.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Additional credentials such as Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or Certified Sanctions Specialist (CSS).
