If yes, consider joining Baker Tilly (BT) as a Director within our Family Office practice! Our Family Office team provides accounting, advisory, and consulting services to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family clients. Services range from partnership accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and bill payment to advising on complex intergenerational wealth strategies and best practices.

As a Director, you will play a key leadership role in driving client relationships, managing complex engagements, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice. The ideal candidate will bring a strong network within the private wealth and family office space, a demonstrated ability to drive business development initiatives, and a consultative approach to managing long-term client relationships.

You will collaborate closely with internal and external advisors, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and help identify opportunities to expand services across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple family office client engagements, ensuring exceptional client service and timely delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and trusted advisors
  • Leverage an established network within the private wealth community to identify and cultivate new business opportunities
  • Drive business development activities, including networking, referral generation, and cross-selling firm services
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients on family office operations, accounting, reporting, and governance matters
  • Oversee engagement planning, staffing, budgeting, and risk management
  • Mentor and develop team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
  • Collaborate with tax, advisory, and wealth management professionals across the firm to deliver integrated client solutions


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA, JD and/or MBA preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Twelve (12)+ years experience in accounting, advisory, or family office services
  • Strong network and established relationships within the private wealth, family office, and ultra-high-net-worth community
  • Proven ability to drive business development and manage client relationships at an executive level
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles related to classifying, recording, and summarizing financial data
  • Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong background in fund, management company, and partnership accounting
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and family office structures
  • Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Sage Intacct
  • Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Tax experience/exposure preferred


The pay rate range for this job position is $232,750 to $305,490. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
