- DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- Responsible and accountable for managing and direction of day to day operations of assigned departments. Works cooperatively with leadership of other departments to integrate clinical services, administrative and educational aspects throughout the continuum. Has 24 hour accountability.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
- Certificate of Diploma in area of specialization. Bachelor's Degree required.
- Illinois Registered Nurse license.
- Five years of healthcare or business experience, at least three of which have been in a supervisor, manager or charge position.
- DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNLM) or Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) preferred.
- Personal
- Demonstrated ability to manage both clinicians and non-clinicians.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills promoting staff and physician engagement.
- Ability to exhibit / promote progressive management skills in order to facilitate change.
- Ability to envision the whole picture while focusing on major issues.
- Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team involvement.
- Capable of accepting new challenges and development of programs from start to finish.
- Self-directed with sound decision making and communication skills.
- Ability to promote team building skills and to empower others.
- Rounds daily.
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
