Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY

The Director- EPMO position is responsible for the execution and alignment of projects across the network. The responsibilities include the facilitation, communication, execution, and management of the intake requests, projects, monitoring and measuring results of the overall program. The Director works with the business leaders to ensure that both the EPMO and the approved projects are aligned between the EPMO strategies, objectives and methods and organizational strategic objectives.
The Director will assist in the formulation of the EPMO processes and tool-set to solidify and optimize the standardized approach the EPMO will execute on all projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Initiates and collaborates on standard methods, procedures, and metrics for projects and execution (IT and Business). Ensures these standards are followed through completion to retrieve measurable results.
  • Oversees, evaluates and monitors the project(s) with respect to portfolio management. Analyzes daily activities to ensure the success.
  • Oversee the staff and ensure adequate staffing levels, inclusive of hiring/onboarding, evaluating, managing performance, coaching and developing employees ensuring employee productivity, quality of work, and alignment of goals with our mission, vision, and values. Ensure compliance with all policies, financial stewardship by being accountable for the financial integrity around development and maintenance of department budget.
  • Leads individual Project Managers (and applicable staff) to enforce compliance with standards and provide direction on usage of these standards.
  • Leads the Life Cycle Management for the EPMO (IT and Business) and establishes methods to accomplish these activities with the customers.
  • Partners closely with all other management personnel in identifying, evaluating, and selecting specific information technology which support the business plans and strategic direction.
  • Assists with the development and enforcement of a standardized tool set to execute all projects.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments and forecasts future trends in the areas of portfolio management. Maintains a strong understanding of solutions and technologies to deliver services to the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION

  • Bachelors or 4 years' work related experience Required
  • Other / Certificate Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree strongly preferred Preferred


EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years leading and/or developing applicable business process life cycle management. Required
  • 7 years project/program management following a standardized tool-set. Required
  • Other Experience leading complex, healthcare related projects/programs. Preferred


LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Other, Agile, Lean, CI, or OD certification(s)
