Full Job Description
Director -- Digital Communications

This role leads Catholic Charities' digital communications, including overseeing the website, social media, email, and SMS channels to strengthen brand awareness, increase audience engagement, and support fundraising, advocacy, and community outreach efforts.

Role Responsibilities:

Oversee implementation of comprehensive digital communications strategy that supports Catholic Charities' mission, enhances its brand visibility, and drives engagement across all digital platforms. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to curate, design, and distribute compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences, including donors, clients, volunteers, and the broader community.

Oversee the day-to-day management of the organization's public-facing website. Ensure the site is continuously updated with fresh, relevant, and visually engaging content. Use SEO best practices, analytics tools, and digital marketing strategies to increase site traffic, improve user experience, and strengthen Catholic Charities' online presence and reputation.

Oversee implementation and delivery of vibrant social media program that reflects organizational values and outreach goals, including a content calendar, and ensure all messaging reflects the organization's voice, values, and impact. Monitor trends and platform performance to refine strategies and grow audience reach and engagement.

Optimize the use of email and SMS platforms to support fundraising, advocacy, and programmatic outreach. Create and manage an integrated communications calendar that aligns with key campaigns and organizational priorities. Ensure all communications are timely, targeted, and aligned with Catholic Charities' objectives to enhance visibility, donor engagement, and community impact.

Build strong partnerships and collaborate deeply across CCAC departments to ensure digital communications reflect current initiatives, events, and strategic priorities. Stay informed of emerging trends, tools, and technologies in digital communications and marketing. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by integrating new approaches and best practices into the digital strategy.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum:

Strong skills in content management systems (e.g., WordPress), SEO, analytics, and digital marketing tools; Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with attention to brand consistency and audience engagement; Proven success managing websites, social media platforms, and digital campaigns for complex organizations. Familiarity with digital and social media platforms required.

Preferred:

Passion for mission-driven work and alignment with Catholic Charities' purpose and values. Graphic design skills, including the ability to create simple, engaging graphics for social media and other digital platforms, as well as polished PowerPoint presentations, a plus.

Education and Experience

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) and 3-5 years relevant experience

Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) and 5+ years relevant experience
