Overview

Razorfish is looking for a Director, Data Science & Analytics to lead analytics and measurement across complex client engagements. You will translate business and marketing challenges into actionable analytical strategies, guide cross-functional teams, and turn data into clear recommendations that improve customer and business outcomes.

The ideal candidate combines marketing analytics expertise, strategic thinking, client leadership, and strong storytelling skills. You can navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, and ensure analytics drives decisions rather than simply producing reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data, measurement, and analytics strategy across one or more client engagements.
  • Translate business objectives into KPI frameworks, analytical plans, and learning agendas.
  • Guide performance analysis, optimization, experimentation, segmentation, and forecasting.
  • Define data, tagging, instrumentation, reporting, and dashboard requirements.
  • Turn complex findings into concise, executive-ready insights and recommendations.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on performance, opportunities, risks, and data limitations.
  • Partner with Client Services, Strategy, Media, Creative, Content, Experience Design, Technology, and Data Engineering.
  • Lead, coach, and develop analytics professionals while maintaining high standards for quality and rigor.
  • Identify opportunities for data and AI to create measurable client value.
  • Promote responsible AI use, including human oversight, source validation, and data protection.

The Director is expected to set analytical direction amid ambiguity, influence client roadmaps, lead cross-capability work, and establish standards for responsible use of data and AI.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in marketing analytics, customer analytics, data science, measurement strategy, or a related consulting field.
  • Experience leading analytics for complex clients or multidisciplinary programs.
  • Expertise in KPI development, measurement planning, performance analysis, testing, and optimization.
  • Ability to translate business questions into structured analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of marketing channels, customer journeys, segmentation, personalization, and digital experiences.
  • Strong understanding of the marketing platform ecosystem (Adobe, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Proven client leadership and executive communication skills.
  • Experience managing and developing analytics teams.
  • Familiarity with SQL, visualization platforms, digital analytics tools, and statistical-analysis environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative, analytical, marketing, or business discipline, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a marketing agency setting.
  • Experience with lifecycle, retention, engagement, product-adoption, or content analytics.
  • Strong B2B experience.
  • Experience designing experimentation, incrementality, or test-and-learn programs.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics and responsible-AI practices.
  • Graduate degree in a relevant discipline.
