Position Description: CGI is seeking a Director Consulting Expert (DCE) - ERP Human Resource Management (HRM) to provide senior functional leadership across complex public sector ERP implementations.
The ideal candidate brings deep HRM and ERP expertise combined with strong consulting and client leadership experience. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and CGI delivery teams, helping guide HRM solution strategy, business process transformation, solution design, and implementation.
Candidates should have extensive experience across HRM functions including Position Control, Payroll, Time & Leave, Personnel Management, and Benefits/Deductions, along with experience in enterprise ERP solutions such as CGI Advantage, PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP HCM/SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar platforms.

Work Model: Hybrid - 2-3 days/week onsite
Travel: Project - based travel.
Your future duties and responsibilities: How You'll Make an Impact
• Serve as a senior functional leader and trusted advisor for CGI Advantage HRM implementations.
• Lead complex HRM workstreams across Position Control, Payroll, Time & Leave, Personnel Management, Benefits/Deductions, and related HR processes.
• Partner with senior client stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate requirements into effective ERP solutions.
• Lead client workshops, requirements sessions, fit-gap analysis, solution-design discussions, and key functional decisions.
• Provide functional leadership across solution configuration, testing, integration, deployment, and production readiness.
• Advise clients on opportunities to improve and standardize HR and Payroll processes using ERP best practices.
• Evaluate the impact of configuration, integration, and software changes across HRM and related ERP functions.
• Identify functional risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with technical architects, integration teams, project leadership, and other functional teams to deliver integrated ERP solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with client leadership and provide guidance throughout implementation, go-live, and stabilization.
• Mentor functional consultants and contribute to continuous improvement of CGI's HRM delivery practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience implementing, configuring, designing, or leading enterprise HRM ERP solutions.
• Significant consulting, ERP implementation, or business transformation experience.
• Deep functional knowledge of Position Control, Payroll, Time & Leave, Personnel Management, and Benefits Administration.
• Experience with CGI Advantage, PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP HCM/SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or comparable enterprise HRM platforms.
• Experience leading HRM workstreams, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and implementation activities.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end HR and Payroll processes and their integration with broader ERP functionality.
• Experience with State and Local Government or large-scale public sector ERP implementations strongly preferred.
• Strong client-facing, facilitation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to advise senior stakeholders, influence solution decisions, and resolve complex functional challenges.
• Experience mentoring consultants and providing functional leadership across project teams.
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall ERP implementation methodologies.
• Ability to travel to client sites as required.
Success Measures
Within the first 12 months, the successful candidate will:
• Establish credibility as a trusted HRM functional advisor to clients and CGI project teams.
• Successfully lead key HRM workstreams and implementation activities.
• Provide strong functional guidance across Payroll, Position Control, Time & Leave, Personnel Management, and Benefits.
• Drive effective solution-design and fit-gap decisions aligned with client needs and CGI Advantage capabilities.
• Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and project leadership.
• Proactively identify and resolve functional risks and implementation challenges.
• Mentor project team members and strengthen CGI's HRM delivery capabilities.
• Contribute to successful implementations, client satisfaction, and adoption of CGI Advantage HRM solutions.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 - $198,400.00.
