Responsibilities and Impact:- Develop and execute global communications strategies that position S&P Dow Jones Indices as the leading index provider and a trusted authority in the evolution of financial markets.
- Shape and advance S&P DJI's and S&P Global's DeFi communications narrative by translating complex technical and market developments into clear, credible messaging for financial and DeFi media, investors and broader market participants.
- Serve as a strategic communications partner to senior executives, including support for CEO communications, executive visibility, speaking opportunities, thought leadership, internal messaging, external statements, and high-priority stakeholder engagements.
- Lead communications for strategic projects aligned to business transformation, innovation, and growth, ensuring consistent messaging across product, corporate, executive, and enterprise communications channels.
- Partner with product, legal, commercial, marketing, and communications teams to develop integrated communications plans for index launches and priority offerings.
- Build and manage relationships with top-tier global media, including financial, business, technology, crypto/digital assets, and institutional investor outlets, to secure high-impact coverage that strengthens S&P DJI's reputation and visibility.
- Develop compelling communications materials and content, including messaging frameworks, press releases, media pitches, executive talking points, briefing documents, FAQs, internal announcements, bylined articles, video and thought leadership content.
- Monitor market, regulatory, technology, and media developments across priority themes impacting benchmarks as well as index innovation to identify communications opportunities and reputational considerations.
- Support rapid-response and issues management activity, helping ensure S&P DJI communicates with clarity, accuracy, and consistency during periods of market volatility, media scrutiny, regulatory attention, or emerging industry debate.
- Track media coverage, message pull-through, audience engagement, and communications impact to evaluate performance and inform future strategy.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $104,435 to $182,604. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

What We're Looking For:Basic Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in corporate communications or a startup environment with demonstrated experience in financial services or highly regulated industries
- Proven ability to develop strategic communications plans that support business objectives and influence external perception in complex, fast-moving environments
- Excellent writing, editing, and messaging skills with ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences
- Strong media relations experience with established relationships across business, financial, technology, and institutional investor media outlets
- Strategic AI fluency with ability to integrate AI tools into communications workflows while preserving accuracy, brand integrity, and ethical judgment
Additional Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in digital assets or emerging financial market infrastructure communications
- Background supporting crisis communications, issues management, or rapid-response communications in high-profile or sensitive environments
- Demonstrated experience with executive communications at C-suite level, including speech writing, media training, and thought leadership development
- Strong stakeholder and partnership skills with proven ability to build relationships across matrixed organizations and align diverse priorities into coherent narratives
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, geographies, and seniority levels while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines
