As the Director of Clinician Experience within the Nursing Services team, you are responsible for defining, developing, and executing a comprehensive strategy to enhance the work life, engagement, and professional journey of our frontline clinical teammates. This critical leadership role broadly oversees the clinician experience across all core facility disciplines, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Social Workers (SWs), and Registered Dietitians (RDs).

You will lead cross-functional initiatives focused on clinician retention, well-being, workflow optimization, and career advancement. By prioritizing the "clinician voice" and aligning our efforts with the Village priorities, you will implement solutions that reduce administrative burden, foster a culture of belonging, and inspire clinicians to choose and grow with DaVita, ultimately enabling them to deliver the highest quality of care to our patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 1. Strategy & Vision
    * Develops and executes the multi-year clinician experience strategy across all clinical disciplines (RN, PCT, SW, RD).
    * Analyzes turnover, engagement, and exit data to identify systemic issues and design targeted interventions.
    * Partners with senior leadership to align clinician experience initiatives with Village-wide strategic goals.
  • 2. Program Development & Execution
    * Leads high-impact programs designed to improve retention and economic mobility.
    * Oversees efforts to standardize key facility roles to ensure role clarity, job satisfaction, and top-of-license practice.
    * Manages the scaling and adoption of new clinical engagement programs, awards, and recognition initiatives.
  • 3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Workflow Optimization
    * Collaborates with People Services, Clinical Enterprise, Operations, and IT to advocate for workflow improvements and technology solutions (including AI enablement and automation) to reduce administrative friction and give time back to patient care.
    * Effectively navigates matrixed structures to influence stakeholders and drive change management.
  • 4. Voice of the Clinician
    * Establishes and maintains continuous feedback loops.
    * Ensures frontline input directly shapes corporate policy, tools, and training.
    * Presents clinician insights and program outcomes concisely and coherently to executive stakeholders.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field strongly preferred.
    • 6 to 8+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinical leadership, teammate/employee experience, or organizational development.
    • Active clinical license (RN, RD, or MSW) preferred but not strictly required if the candidate possesses deep operational expertise in the dialysis/clinical setting.
    • Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.

The Salary Range for the role is $115,000.00 - $183,000.00 per year.

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.71/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
