Full Job Description
The Opportunity

1 in 4 people need mental health care, and most can't get it. Grow is building the infrastructure to change that, and the teams you help build will directly shape how quickly and how well we can expand access to care. As Director of Business Recruiting, you will own recruiting across Operations, Growth, Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, Legal, People, and Provider and Clinical teams - leaders and teams that will influence how we serve providers, partner with payors, reach patients, and scale the business.

Grow has reached meaningful scale, but we're still early enough that individual talent decisions can materially change our trajectory. You'll lead Business Recruiters who own distinct parts of the company, set the strategy for the function, and partner directly with senior leaders on critical talent and organizational decisions - while staying close enough to the work to personally lead our most important searches. This is a chance to shape how a high-growth company builds its leadership and teams, develop the next generation of recruiting leaders, and help Grow expand access to mental healthcare at a much larger scale.

What You'll Do
  • Own Business Recruiting strategy across Operations, Growth, Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, Legal, People, and Provider and Clinical teams.
  • Translate business priorities into workforce plans, recruiting strategy, and capacity decisions, anticipating talent needs before they become open requisitions.
  • Lead and develop senior Business Recruiters, setting a high bar for recruiting craft, sourcing, judgment, execution, and business partnership.
  • Partner with senior leaders on talent strategy, org design, profiles, leveling, compensation, and hiring decisions, using data and market insight to shape outcomes.
  • Raise the bar on sourcing and talent advisory through market mapping, targeted outbound, pipeline discipline, and a strong point of view.
  • Personally lead select critical and high-impact searches from market definition through close.
  • Own the Business Recruiting performance narrative, defining the metrics that matter, diagnosing issues early, and translating recruiting outcomes into business decisions.
  • Evolve key recruiting programs, including referrals, interviewer certification, internal mobility, Bar Raiser expansion, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Build the team and leadership bench needed to scale, developing senior recruiters into stronger functional owners and future leaders.
What You Bring
  • 12+ years of recruiting experience, with significant experience supporting business or non-technical functions in a fast-moving company.
  • Proven people leadership experience managing experienced recruiters, raising standards, developing talent, and addressing underperformance.
  • Experience leading recruiters who independently own senior stakeholders, business units, or complex hiring portfolios.
  • Deep recruiting craft across search strategy, market mapping, sourcing, assessment, stakeholder management, and closing.
  • A track record of personally leading complex, high-impact, and senior-level searches.
  • Strong data fluency and operating discipline, with the ability to diagnose performance and turn insights into action.
  • Strong executive judgment and influence, including the ability to challenge senior leaders and shape talent strategy.
  • Experience translating business priorities into workforce and recruiting strategies across competing needs.
  • Comfort operating in a high-growth environment that requires both strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
Nice to Have
  • Experience building or scaling recruiting programs beyond core delivery.
  • Experience using modern recruiting technology, including AI, to improve sourcing, decision-making, and team effectiveness.
What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you'll take ownership of Business Recruiting, establish clear priorities, and develop a data-backed point of view on where we can raise the bar.

From there, you'll strengthen workforce planning, sourcing, talent advisory, and the rigor we bring to our most critical searches.

Over time, success means Business Recruiting is a trusted partner to the business, senior recruiters operate as strong functional owners, and Grow makes better talent decisions because of the team you lead.
