Job Summary

A member of the Market Strategy leadership team, reporting to the VP, Market Strategy, the Director, Business Intelligence & Go-to-Market is responsible for translating commercial strategy into action and using market, customer, and business data to measure performance, identify opportunities, and continuously optimize plans. The role brings together business intelligence, market analytics, strategic planning, and go-to-market capabilities to drive stronger commercial decision-making and execution. The ultimate objective is to identify and unlock growth opportunities, sharpen commercial priorities and investment, and elevate execution to deliver against Arterra’s long-term plan.

The Director will lead the development of analytics, insights, and tools that enable the business to clearly understand where to play, how to win, and where to invest, while partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and senior leadership to turn strategy into measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Performance Management. A key contributor to the monthly business cycle informing management on performance KPIs across category, volume, and market share (brand, geography, segment, pack etc.). Leverage compelling story-telling to clearly articulate performance drivers in a concise manner, with clear calls-to-action / next steps.
  • Data Transformation: lead the journey in partnership with IT to fully democratize and automate our data set. First, solidify the integrity and accuracy of our data in order to create organizational trust. Second, build visulisation tools with PowerBI that prevents the need for offline work. Finally, support the change management involved by offering training and assist first time users in the adoption journey.
  • Commercial Planning: Lead the development of the annual commercial planning process for the sales team on a national and regional basis.  Act as an ‘entreprise’ ambassador to the commercial teams to help facilitate strategy translation into regional execution.
  • Go-To-Market: day to day execution of our annual sales plan through price, promotion, NPD launches, and shopper programming performance. Strive for continuous improvement in commercial ROI across the different levers of investment. Lead the monthly market PRs with clear & concise storytelling on key performance drivers.
  • Leadership: Raising the talent level through continuous development of a team of direct reports and their respective team members. Building strong succession planning and recruitment initiatives.  Drive engagement across the team. Act as a senior leader of the market strategy group.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years progressive experience in packaged goods industry specially sales intelligence, FP&A, RGM, GTM functions
  • Previous leadership experience managing mid-size teams (<10)
  • Alc Bev Experience
  • Proven analytical and storytelling capability.
  • Ability to diagnose complex business problems and communicate outputs clearly through compelling visuals and excellent verbal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with Senior Leadership both internally and externally
  • Provides direction, support, reinforcement and coaching to create a high-commitment, high-performing work team
  • Utilizes a disciplined approach to define problems, identify root causes, evaluate data from a variety of sources, generate alternative solutions and choose the best solution
  • Ability to use information in an effective and timely manner to allocate resources and achieve business goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational, co-ordination and time management skills
  • Demonstrates a high level of follow through and ability to meet multiple deadlines

COMPENSATION: Budgeted Range – $126,111 - $173,403. The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
