Position Overview
This role can be based remotely in the US or in Denver, CO.
The Director, AI Delivery, Global serves as Vantage's execution leader for artificial intelligence delivery, translating approved business requirements into measurable business impact through disciplined delivery of AI solutions. This role owns the Accelerators/Delivery pillar of the AI Organization, accepting validated opportunities from the Navigators pillar, building and testing the solution, and transitioning it to Platform for operational readiness and to Adoption for rollout. The Director builds and leads the AI Delivery team, ensuring that delivery velocity never compromises technical excellence, governance compliance, or sustainable scalability.
This position represents the essential bridge between strategic AI vision and operational reality, accountable for transforming Vantage's ambitious AI roadmap into deployable capabilities that measurably advance business objectives. Success requires balancing the urgency of rapid prototyping cycles with the discipline of enterprise architecture, the creativity of innovation with the rigor of governance, and the autonomy of empowered teams with the alignment necessary for organizational coherence.
Essential Job Functions
Key Responsibilities:
Build and lead a high-performing AI Delivery team that converts approved business requirements into validated, production-ready solutions on committed timelines.
Own delivery intake acceptance at the Business Requirements Review Gate, confirming scope, sizing, feasibility, and readiness before work enters delivery, and returning requirements for revision when they are not delivery-ready.
Deliver every solution inside the enterprise AI governance framework, embedding ethics, security, and compliance requirements from conception rather than retrofitting controls after development.
Orchestrate seamless handoffs from delivery to the Platform and Adoption pillars, providing complete transition packages that enable operational readiness and rollout without rework.
Build organizational confidence in AI through successful delivery that demonstrates possibility rather than preaching transformation, earning credibility through consistently met commitments.
Duties:
Establish and enforce quality standards for AI solution development, ensuring every solution undergoes rigorous technical validation before stakeholder presentation through dedicated QC engineering review.
Design and refine the delivery methodology that balances speed with sustainability, creating repeatable processes that deliver working solutions on predictable cycles without creating technical debt or compliance exposure.
Build collaborative frameworks between the AI Delivery team and the AI Navigators that leverage operational context for better requirements definition while maintaining technical leadership over solution design.
Develop comprehensive transition protocols that enable clean handoffs into production, including technical specifications, solution design documentation, architectural decisions, and success criteria that prevent rework during platform and adoption transition.
Apply the AI Organization's governance standard within delivery processes, including gate readiness, documented handoffs, and current status in the system of record, so ethics and compliance are built in rather than treated as afterthoughts.
Develop metrics and reporting that demonstrate AI delivery impact through business value quantification, adoption rates, velocity improvements, and quality indicators that build executive confidence in transformation progress.
Build talent development programs within AI delivery teams that cultivate technical excellence, business acumen, and collaborative capability, creating career pathways that retain high performers while continuously elevating team capabilities.
Additional Duties:
Handle additional duties as assigned by Leadership.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related technical field with substantial experience leading AI/ML delivery teams in enterprise environments; advanced degrees valuable but not required when offset by demonstrated success building and scaling AI capabilities that generated measurable business impact.
Proven track record establishing delivery methodologies that balance innovation velocity with technical quality, having led teams that consistently delivered validated solutions while maintaining governance compliance and architectural coherence.
Deep technical expertise in AI/ML technologies, Microsoft Azure, application architecture, and enterprise integration patterns, with hands-on experience designing and delivering secure, scalable applications in partnership with platform and infrastructure teams.
Demonstrated capability building and leading geographically distributed technical teams that maintain delivery velocity across time zones and cultural contexts, having established collaborative frameworks that leverage regional expertise while ensuring global alignment.
Strong understanding of AI governance frameworks, responsible AI principles, and regulatory compliance requirements, with experience embedding these controls into delivery processes rather than treating them as constraints.
Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to business audiences and translate business requirements into technical specifications, having successfully built credibility with both engineering teams and executive leadership.
Experience in data center operations, infrastructure projects, or construction management highly desirable as it provides essential context for understanding Vantage's operational environment and the specific friction points AI can address.
Comfort operating in high-velocity environments with competing priorities and evolving requirements, demonstrating resilience through organizational change while maintaining team morale and delivery commitments.
Ability to build collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries, having successfully partnered with IT, Security, Legal, Compliance, and business functions to deliver solutions that meet diverse stakeholder requirements.
