- Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers and PMO staff, set clear expectations, and assign projects by priority, complexity, required capability, availability, and development opportunity.
- Personally lead one or two high-impact initiatives where Director involvement improves cross-functional alignment or establishes new operating models.
- Provide governance and executive oversight for high-visibility or high-risk IT initiatives, maintain portfolio-level visibility into risks, issues, and dependencies, and intervene when scope, schedule, budget, quality, or readiness are at risk.
- Own portfolio-level financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, spend visibility, billing compliance, and escalation of material variances.
- Promote consistent use of approved methodologies, tools, templates, and reporting definitions, and benchmark PMO performance to raise delivery quality and capacity.
