Summary of Position:

The Director of Engineering-Logistics Automation & Material handling will manage a distributed, multi-regional team of mechanical and electrical designers. The Director of Engineering -Logistics Automation & Material Handling will ensure that the team drives solutions from initial concept to full on-site integration, building advanced conveyance, robotic work-cells, and purpose-built AMR solutions for fulfillment warehouses.

Essential Functions:

  • Distributed Leadership: Manage, mentor, and scale a multi-office, multi-regional team of mechanical and electrical designers, including but not limited to hiring, all phases of performance management, and terminations
  • Concept to Integration: Oversee entire product lifecycles from blank-page concepts to full site deployment
  • Process & Quality Compliance: Enforce team compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) procedures
  • Design Optimization: Accelerate engineering design time-to-value while maintaining rigorous quality standards
  • Technical Strategy: Define the architectural roadmap for complex warehouse automation ecosystems
  • Advanced Engineering: Drive design of high-speed conveyor systems and robotic work-cells
  • Mobile Automation: Guide development and integration of custom fleet AMR solutions

Physical Demands:
