The Digital Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on website and digital marketing performance to help inform business decisions and improve customer experience. This role will partner closely with Marketing, Digital Product, Engineering and Agency Partners to measure marketing and site performance, identify customer behavior trends, support testing and optimization efforts, and ensure data accuracy across analytics platforms.
The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience in digital or marketing analytics and is comfortable working with website performance data, dashboards, tagging, and experimentation. This person should be curious, detail-oriented, and able to translate data into actionable recommendations that improve conversion, engagement, and overall digital performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret website and digital marketing performance data with a focus on customer behavior, site engagement, and conversion funnel performance.
- Develop and maintain recurring dashboards and reports for stakeholders across Marketing, Digital Product, and Engineering teams.
- Perform ad hoc analyses to answer business questions and uncover actionable insights related to customer journeys, landing page performance, content effectiveness, and digital campaign outcomes.
- Partner with Internal teams and Agency Partners to implement, validate, and maintain website tracking through tools such as Google Tag Manager and other site analytics platforms.
- Support the design, execution, and analysis of A/B and multivariate tests, including test setup, measurement plans, readouts, and recommendations.
- Help establish consistent definitions, metrics, and standard methodologies for digital and marketing reporting.
- Translate complex analyses into clear, concise, and business-focused presentations and recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support broader digital strategy and identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing analytics, digital analytics, web analytics, eCommerce analytics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with web analytics platforms, preferably GA4.
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with tag management tools such as Google Tag Manager.
- Experience building dashboards and reports in BI or visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc.
- Experience with data preparation tools such as DataIku, Alteryx, Tableau Prep
- Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation concepts, including test design, measurement, and performance interpretation is a plus.
