Role and ResponsibilitiesJob Description
Here's what you'll be responsible for:
- Monitoring the wafer fabrication equipment and respond to issues
- Qualifying new manufacturing equipment
- Coordinating the scheduling of equipment qualifications and equipment down time with manufacturing
- Using software to analyze data, identify trends to make decisions about processing product.
- Making adjustments when equipment parameters are exceeded and monitors process parameters when tools return from maintenance.
- Executing in line changes (CPM) to the process or equipment.
- Communicating technical information within the department through presentations.
- Continuously revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Developing improved processes to increase capability.
- Monitoring operations costs and develop cost reduction projects
Skills and QualificationsAdditional Job Description
Here's what you'll need:
- BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science (3.0 GPA for new grads)
- Scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language
- Understanding of statistical methods
- Understanding of Change Point Management, and of Lean, TPS, or 5S principles
- Structure Problem Solving (8D, 7-step, etc..)
- Software Data Analysis software (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, etc.)
- Troubleshooting Equipment or Process failures
- Ability to wear clean room suit and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to lift < 35 lbs and work in tight fitting, FAB environment sitting at a computer terminal for extended periods of time
- May be exposed to yellow lights, blinking lights
- Ability to discern audible alarms
- Potential to work with materials which contain hazardous chemicals
- Support and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment
The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.Day Shifts Include:A Shift - Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am - 7:15pm) with alternating WednesdaysC Shift - Thursday through Saturday (6:45am - 7:15pm) with alternating WednesdaysNight Shifts Include:B Shift - Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm - 7:15am) with alternating SaturdaysD Shift - Wednesday through Friday (6:45pm - 7:15am) with alternating SaturdaysTotal RewardsAt Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package. The base compensation for this role will depend on education, experience, skills, and location.
