A Typical Day
Utilizing the Nutrition Care Process and Evidence-Based Practice Guidelines to deliver comprehensive nutrition care across various patient populations.
Completing clinical nutrition assessments, physical assessments, and customized care plans in accordance with department standards.
Identifying clinical risk factors such as Protein Calorie Malnutrition and developing targeted nutrition diagnoses and interventions.
Calculating complex nutrient intake studies, enteral tube feeding formulas, and parenteral nutrition formulas to ensure optimal patient support.
Documenting comprehensive assessment data, diagnoses, care plans, and patient progress notes efficiently within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Assessing educational needs and providing tailored nutrition counseling to patients and families, accounting for cultural, ethnic, and religious factors.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and providing clinical guidance to Menu Technicians and Food Service staff to maintain seamless operations.
Serving as a preceptor and mentor for Dietetic Students, supervising educational experiences, and supporting the orientation of new team members.

To Be Considered
Required Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics.
