Job Responsibilities:

Massiv Die-Form, a division of Magna International, designs and builds medium to large cast automotive and hot stamping dies. Massiv Die-Form is proudly committed to manufacture products of the highest quality, reliability, maintainability and durability for the global automotive market through skilled and dedicated people focused on total customer satisfaction, ongoing protection of the environment and the profitable well-being of our company.

Salary Range: $78,000 - $104,170

Vacancy Status: Immediate Open Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Ensure projects are delivered timely and meet all Cosma standards, Customer specific standards and Customer requirements.
•    Ensure timing is updated in DQEP system and communicated frequently 
•    Champion jobs allocated by manager to ensure timing and quality is met.
•    Communicate with customers and suppliers in matters related to jobs in development, in process and completed.
•    Validate current projects through E-Review gates for formability, process improvements and part quality. Give documented feedback and reviews to Vendors for corrective actions
•    Perform preliminary spring-back studies to understand overall dimensional risk, measuring fixture concept and spring back compensation planning. Generate report with findings and planning (NSR doc)
•    Analyze Sigma studies for performance and effect on each part.
•    Perform and review cosmetic analysis studies at each E review, providing feedback/corrections.
•    Drive the Engineering review process to ensure the deliverables are meet with quality, on time and hold the vendors accountable
•    Perform functional die planning review for hard-touch, pad/post clearance for part nesting and other relevant details for successful release for 3D
•    Support all T1 and FPG activities
•    Train other departments with processes
•    Audit and report KPI’s or department measurable
•    Participate in all Lessons Learned activities including hosting workshops
•    Develop Best practice or standards for commodities
•    Lead Correlation activates or initiatives for the improvement of Formability or dimensional results
•    Participating or leading any soft tool review
•    investigate all VA/VE opportunities in the Engineering phase
•    Root Cause all open FEA issues that surface from our Re-work system
•    Perform other reasonable duties as required
•    Comply with all Massiv rules and regulations any and all company policies, rules and regulations. 
•    Responsible to carry out duties for Health, Safety, and Environment in accordance with the HS&E Agreement for Employees  - Addendum

•    Tooling Department with first part to gauge try out activities to match engineering package, for formability, dimensional correlation, and cosmetic correlation
•    Quality Execution Team with 
•    Quality loop analysis and/or Root Cause analysis

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Day shift and overtime required.

SPECIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Engineering Degree or minimum 5 years’ experience in a tooling/stamping environment

  • Understanding of sheet metal formability and stamping die operations

  • Understand how to interpret GD&T. Relation to processing, development, and springback compensation

  • Expert knowledge of running stamping formability simulation using one or more of the following software:  Autoform, PamStamp, LS Dyna

  • Manufacturing knowledge of stamping, and other process technologies

  • Ability to interpret Metallurgical Failure modes for components/systems that have failed in testing.

  • Strong CAD software knowledge ( Catia Preferred, NX or Tebis is an asset )

  • Ability to use network or PC based computer systems (Microsoft preferred).

  • Orientation, WHMIS, Fire Extinguisher, 5S, CI Suggestion Program, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 training as prescribed by QEMS (see matrixes)
