Millennial Software is seeking a
Mid -
Senior DevSecOps Engineer. You will be working closely with a talented team to deliver a complex software application into operations. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to grow and hone your skills with other talented members at Millennial Software. Our ideal candidate is a DevSecOps Engineer who is a hard charging self-starter that can come onto a team and begin to produce quickly. You should have an advanced understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, automated test, and deployment pipelines.
Essential Functions: - Utilize strong technical foundation with skills such as scripting and working to get tools from production into operation using systems engineering skills
- Develop innovative solutions and coordinate those solutions between members of the technical and operational staff
- Work closely with customers, operational staff, and development staff to solve problems in an operational environment
- Maintain current knowledge of engineering practices and technical solutions
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies
- Take direction from senior technical leadership and/or Project Manager on project specifications
Requirements
Required Qualifications: - Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field or 5 years of directly related work experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of DevOps experience
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engagement with virtual or remote teams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and deploying applications to Kubernetes clusters
- Experience with using Helm charts to deploy software to Kubernetes clusters (ie. Argo CD)
- Strong experience with at least one of the major cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Github Actions, etc)
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, GitHub workflows)
- IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CASP+)
Nice to have: - Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile software development methodology
- Familiarity with government risk management framework (RMF) processes
- Experience with container tools (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Basic understanding of observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana or similar
Salary Description
$150,000-$220,000
