Full Job Description
The Cloud Engineer (DevOps Engineer) is responsible spreading the DevOps culture. This individual will work closely with the Development, QA, Product, and many other areas of the business throughout the company in automating processes and contributing to successful software releases. This role will work in a team managing source code, builds, release artifacts, application deployment scripts, and monitoring. The development and maintenance of build & deployment automation scripts consistent with a continuous integration / deployment environment is a central focus. This role will support both hosted products and the Client services team performing client on-site installations.

Required Skills:

  • Strong Unix knowledge
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and aptitude for process automation
  • Strong scripting skills (ruby, perl, python, shell)
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle & DevOps Practices
  • Experience with Source Control systems such as Git or SVN
  • Experience with Continuous Integration Environments
  • Experience with Apache, Java, Weblogic, WebSphere, Tomcat
  • Experience with Infrastructure deployment tools such as puppet or chef
  • Experience with Deployment orchestration tools such as Capistrano, Docker, Kubernetes

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Build tools such as Maven, Jenkins
  • General knowledge of Windows administration
  • Understanding of networking terminology and layouts
  • Experience with installation package tools such as install4j, InstallShield, or similar
