Position Details
  • Developmental Adapted Physical Education (DAPE) Teacher
  • In-person, full-time position
  • Support two middle school sites
  • DAPE license required!


What You'll Do
  • Develop individualized adapted physical education (APE) goals aligned with students' IEPs
  • Plan and teach modified physical activities that improve motor skills, coordination, strength, and fitness
  • Adapt equipment, games, and instruction so students can safely and successfully participate
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support students' physical development and inclusion
  • Monitor student progress, documents outcomes, and adjusts instruction to help students meet their goals


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Education or Related Field
  • Active Minnesota DAPE license through PELSB (Tier 3 or 4)
  • Previous experience working in the classroom setting is preferred
