Design Engineer is responsible for leading the mechanical design and development of custom, engineered-to-order generator systems. This role serves as the technical lead and design owner for customer-specific solutions, ensuring delivery of high-quality, cost-effective products that meet performance, manufacturability, and customer requirements.

Design Engineer collaborates with cross-functional and global teams to translate customer needs into practical, manufacturable designs, supporting the full product lifecycle from concept through production.
Work Mode: Hybrid-3 days in office
Location: Mosel facility at N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, WI, 53083

Key Responsibilities- Lead the mechanical design and CAD development of custom generator sets, enclosures, and related system components
- Own and manage engineering projects from initial requirements through design release and production support
- Develop and maintain detailed parametric models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Creo
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to CAD designers and support global engineering resources
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Application Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure alignment and successful project execution
- Translate customer requirements into engineered solutions that meet technical, cost, and delivery objectives
- Ensure designs meet standards for performance, quality, and manufacturability
- Evaluate materials, components, and design approaches to optimize product performance and cost
- Identify technical risks and implement effective, data-driven solutions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes and custom product development
- Participate in technical discussions with customers and global engineering teams as needed
Work Environment- Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

- Travel: Limited, as required
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Creo for 3D CAD modeling and design
- Minimum of 2 years of experience designing industrial or engineered-to-order products
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in generator systems, power systems, or industrial equipment design
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and fabrication processes
- Experience working in a cross-functional, global engineering environment

The Salary range for this position is $83,300.00-$105,200.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
