OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to support a regulated power generation facility. This role focuses on structural engineering for plant modifications, inspections, and resolution of technical issues, with a mix of office-based work and hands-on field activities.Veterans and Military Spouses are strongly encouraged to apply!
Key Responsibilities- Perform and maintain civil and structural analyses to support plant operations and maintenance
- Develop engineering change packages, including design drawings, calculations, specifications, and supporting documentation
- Conduct field walkdowns and structural inspections in an industrial environment
- Support troubleshooting and corrective action efforts for structural and plant-related issues
- Prepare technical reports and present engineering findings to internal stakeholders
- Ensure design changes comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in problem-solving teams and support emergency response activities as required
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (or equivalent)
- 8 years of hands-on structural engineering experience
- Working knowledge of AISC and ACI codes
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple engineering tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work extended hours, shift schedules and perform on-call duties when necessary
- Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications- FE or Professional Engineer (PE) certification
- Experience in power generation, nuclear, oil & gas, steel, concrete, refining, or other highly regulated industrial environments
- Prior experience supporting inspections, plant modifications, or industrial facilities
