Job Description
Our team has an immediate need for an experienced Deputy Program Manager. The Deputy will assist the Program Manager with day-to-day operations, schedule management, team coordination, customer engagement, and compliance activities using the PMI-based project management practice. This role requires strong leadership, communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams in a dynamic defense contracting environment.
This role is on-site in Chesapeake, VA. This is not a remote role, although occasional hybrid ability may be available.
Job Description: - Serve as deputy to the Program Manager, assisting with top-level oversight of contractual execution by leading meetings, interfacing with senior members of government leadership, and responding to urgent taskings and/or data calls when needed
- Serve as secondary point of contact with government customers and stakeholders.
- Complete administrative tasking as needed, such as bimonthly timesheet approvals, oversight of certification and training completed by team members.
- Assist with modernizing and implementing internal policies and procedures conducive to the Stratas team. To include, improving Knowledge Management practices and manager professional development
- Directly supervise functional Team Leads
- Assist with special projects and other corporate led tasking
- Coordinate task planning and ensure alignment between SOW/PWS requirements, work packages, staffing, and subcontractor activities.
- Help maintain a Project Management Office (PMO), track dependencies, milestones, and deadlines.
- Manage and track daily program activities, ensuring teams understand priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Monitor progress using milestone tracking, percent-complete estimates, and issue logs.
- Identify and escalate potential schedule or performance risks to the Program Manager.
- Tracking of multiple departmental activities, projects, efforts and outcomes
- Support data calls, quality reviews, and customer audits.
Job Requirements:- Active Secret Clearance
- PMP, CAPM, or other PMI Certification
- IAM III Certification such as:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- GSLC (GIAC Security Leadership)
The anticipated salary range for this role is $140,000 to $150,000 annually. The anticipated salary range for this position is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. The final starting salary will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and work location (where applicable), as well as internal equity and market considerations.
