Full Job Description
*This position is for the LCAC 100 program The Deputy Program Manager is responsible for the daily on-site execution including, leading the coordinating shop, engineering, AIT, logistics, quality, safety and governmental interface support functions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Daily on-site execution of operations • Serve as the secondary senior liaison with internal stakeholders, customers, and senior leadership. • Coordinate workflow, tasking, and priorities across technical teams, production personnel, quality specialists, logisticians, and subcontractors • Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards, certifications, and organizational policies • Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, resource plans, staffing strategies, and operational milestones • Allocate labor and material resources to meet operational timelines and technical requirements • Work in collaboration with the Program Manager as the second in command • Manage program budgets, track expenditures, and maintain alignment with approved funding levels • Oversee financial forecasting, cost analysis, burn-rate monitoring, and adherence to internal financial controls • Prepare and deliver all required program reports, status updates, and progress summaries to leadership. • Establish and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure all maintenance and engineering activities meet required standards • Integrate industry and organizational standards into day-to-day operations, including J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 • Oversee compliance with welding certifications, inspection requirements, and non-destructive testing practices • Lead internal reviews, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable safety regulations and facility policies. • Identify program risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure proactive resolution of technical, scheduling, or resource-related issues • Maintain compliance with access and personnel requirements as applicable to high-security or controlled work environments • Lead regular technical and programmatic meetings, briefings, and coordination sessions • Maintain clear, timely communication with leadership, team members, and external partners. • Prepare executive-level briefings, analytical reports, and deliverables summarizing program performance • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission focus across the team • Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned Requirements & Qualifications Education: • Bachelor's Degree Required (preferably in engineering, logistics, operations or related field -- may substitute experience for education requirements) Licenses & Certifications: • Active Secret Security Clearance • Lean/Six Sigma preferred Experience: • Eight to ten (8-10) or more years supervising maintenance, repair, or modification of air-cushion vehicles, aircraft, or U.S. Navy ships. • At least five (5) years of concurrent program management experience within an air-cushion vehicle organization or an aviation/shipboard maintenance or repair environment. • Proven ability to lead large technical teams in a high-tempo operational or maintenance setting. • Demonstrated experience designing and managing quality control systems and processes. • Familiarity with the Navy 3-M (Maintenance and Material Management) System. • Strong understanding of industry standards including J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 • Experience overseeing or ensuring compliance with: NAVSEA welding certification requirements, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures • Ability to integrate these standards into program operations to achieve consistent, high-quality results • Previous leadership roles supporting naval maintenance, test, or overhaul environments • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies Skills & Abilities: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills. • Experience managing budgets, analyzing costs, and overseeing subcontractor or vendor performance. • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex technical work across multi-disciplinary teams. • Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short-term and long-term goals • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks • High level problem-solving and communication skills • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities • Project management principles and practices • Ability to work with various levels of personnel including senior leadership • Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Other: • Ability to work onsite 5 days per week with additional hours, as required • Some travel, as required by operational needs • This position includes physical activity, personnel must be able to work in environments with the following conditions: repetitive motion, ventilated spaces, heavy lifting, traversing ladders and inclines/declines, climbing/crawling/navigating small and confined spaces, working in kneeling positions, frequent standing, working in hot workspaces due
