What You'll Be DoingThis position involves responsible administrative work providing a variety of support services to the Clerk of Council, Town Council, the Town Manager's Office and the Town Attorney's Office. Work includes performing a variety of duties such as maintaining the permanent record of all Town resolutions, ordinances, council minutes; preparing and distributing agendas, legislation, minutes, memos, letters, motions, listings and notices; records maintenance for the Clerk's Office; Town Boards and Commissions maintenance; and support of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Work also involves extensive interaction with elected and appointed officials, Town staff and the general public, and requires the exercise of considerable judgment, initiative, and discretion based on knowledge of department, Town, State and Federal policies and procedures. Attendance at night meetings is required on an as-needed basis.

Required Qualifications - Associate's degree or equivalent combination of accepted education, training and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of professionally responsible administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications - Minimum of seven (7) years of professionally responsible administrative experience, preferably within a city/town municipal clerk's office or local government.
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) certification.
- Notary Public.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
