In this deputy chief engineer role, you'll help teams identify and resolve cross-program interfaces, communicate technical decisions, and keep engineering work aligned. This is a hands-on growth role for someone with 2-3 years of experience, not a traditional senior aerospace chief engineer position. - Help teams communicate requirements, assumptions, design changes, and technical decisions.
- Track cross-program risks, open questions, and action items; help drive them to resolution.
- Support technical reviews, integration planning, and program-level engineering discussions.
- Identify conflicts or gaps between subsystem designs and bring the right people together to resolve them.
- Prepare clear technical summaries and maintain interface and decision documentation.
- Build working relationships across engineering, manufacturing, test, and program teams.
- Support critical project milestones, including extended hours or weekends when needed.
Required Qualifications - 2-3 years of experience in engineering, technical program integration, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, including the ability to make technical information clear to different audiences.
- Ability to work across teams, follow through on open issues, and manage competing priorities.
- Interest in complex hardware development and cross-disciplinary engineering.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting hardware development, systems integration, or engineering program reviews.
- Familiarity with CAD, engineering documentation, or requirements and interface tracking.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-moving environment.
Additional Requirements- Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
