Summary of Position
The Director of Deposit Pricing Strategy supports the Deposit Pricing Committee and contributes to the broader liquidity, funding, earnings, and interest rate risk strategy of the organization. This role leads the development and execution of deposit pricing strategies across consumer and commercial portfolios, balancing growth, retention, profitability, and balance sheet objectives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Deposit Pricing Strategy & Execution - Develops pricing recommendations across consumer and commercial deposit portfolios to support funding, earnings, and liquidity objectives. Analyzes deposit rates, balances, betas, repricing trends, and customer pricing behavior across interest rate cycles. Partners with Treasury, Finance, Product, and business leaders to execute deposit pricing strategies and initiatives. Owns deposit rate sheet for standard and non-standard rates
Deposit Pricing Committee (DPC) Governance & Reporting - Prepares recurring DPC materials, management reporting, and pricing performance analytics. Supports governance processes, pricing decisions, action tracking, and non-standard rate documentation. Communicates pricing insights, recommendations, and outcomes to senior management and key stakeholders.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking - Monitors competitor pricing, deposit betas, repricing trends, and customer pricing behavior across changing rate environments. Benchmark deposit products, rates, and performance against peer institutions and market leaders. Identifies emerging risks and deposit pricing opportunities based on competition, interest rates, and geography opportunities.
Third-party analytics management - Manages relationships with external pricing and analytics providers, including Curinos and other market intelligence vendors. Leverages third-party data and tools to enhance pricing decisions, reporting, and competitive insights.
Manages the annual performance management and merit processes for direct and indirect reports. Coaches and develops team members and builds a work environment where team members are engaged and feel a positive sense of achievement about their role in the firm.
