DescriptionLoma Linda University Faculty Medical Group is seeking a dynamic, academic Obstetrics and Gynecology physician for the role of Department Chair of OB-GYN at Riverside University Health System.
The applicant will join 8 generalist Ob/Gyns at The Women's Health Center as well as a robust high-risk service staffed by 3 fellowship-trained MFM physicians and full-service Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology division. You will be part of the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, with the appropriate level of faculty appointment and will work with residents from the LLU Ob/Gyn residency program. The outpatient facility is a Federally Qualified Health Clinic (FQHC) with great access to support services.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and oversight to a group of dedicated providers, serving a large population in Southern California.
The Chair oversees all aspects of service line quality, operations, and growth as well as supporting the established and accredited residency and fellowship programs. The Chair will work directly with the Dean of School of Medicine and the President of Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group (LLUFMG). As an affiliate of Loma Linda University Health, we support the organization's six hospitals and multiple clinics. We also operate six LLUFMG clinics and provide clinical services for our community affiliates, including Riverside University Health System.
Applications are sought for eligible faculty appointment at the full professor level with appropriate board certification and licensure. The ideal candidate should have a track record of excellence in leadership, in clinical and/or basic science research, patient care, education, and mentorship. Additionally, we seek an individual who can be an excellent source of mentorship for faculty in academic and clinical growth, as well as a resource for resident and fellow training.
Position Highlights - Join a collegial, mission-driven team dedicated to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality and improving perinatal outcomes.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultative care, including high-risk pregnancy management, prenatal diagnosis, and advanced obstetric ultrasound.
- Opportunities for leadership in perinatal quality, labor & delivery, outreach, and telehealth programs.
- Collaborate with NICU and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated maternal and neonatal care.
- Specialized programs include perinatal behavioral health, perinatal substance use disorder care, and the only perinatal telehealth program in Riverside County.
- Academic appointment available through the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine and Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
- Participation in teaching OB/GYN residents and medical students.
- Protected time for research and quality improvement projects.

Benefits & CompensationThe compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $450,000 - $500,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department's compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
