POSITION SUMMARY
We're looking for a licensed, compassionate Dental Hygienist who takes real pride in preventive care and patient education. You'll partner with a clinical team that respects your expertise, protects the time you need with every patient, and genuinely has your back. This isn't an assembly line. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Clinical Care
• Perform dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
• Administer local anesthesia as permitted by Massachusetts law, so patients stay comfortable during deeper therapy
• Conduct periodontal assessments, charting, and ongoing perio maintenance
• Take and interpret dental radiographs and digital images in compliance with state regulations
• Spot signs of oral disease early and loop the dentist in fast
Patient Education & Experience
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care in a way that actually sticks
• Use our digital and 3D technology to show patients what you see, so they understand their own oral health
• Reinforce the dentist's treatment recommendations with clarity and confidence
• Send patients out the door with clear, thorough post-treatment care instructions
Teamwork & Practice Growth
• Partner with the doctor on treatment planning, flagging restorative and cosmetic needs such as crowns, implants, and Invisalign candidates
• Keep patient flow smooth and on time, and keep records, instruments, and operatories compliant with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Valid Dental Hygiene license in Massachusetts
• Current CPR/BLS certification
Preferred
• Ability to administer local anesthesia (certification in Massachusetts)
• Comfort with digital dental technology, and curiosity to learn more
• Previous experience in a dental or clinical setting, including periodontal therapy
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an in-person, patient-facing clinical role at our North Adams practice. The role is full-time: Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Fridays, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM, are optional for candidates who would like additional hours. The role involves prolonged standing and fine motor work.
