Dental Hygienist - Arlington, MACompensation: $40 - $57 per hourFull-time or Part-time (at least once a week)About the JobThis position is for a family-owned dental practice located in Arlington, MA, and Bedford, MA. The Dental Hygienist will play a key role in ensuring patients receive quality preventive care and education. This role is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and has strong communication skills. Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and evaluation of oral tissues, to identify signs of disease or abnormalities.
- Take, process, and evaluate dental radiographs (x-rays) to assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer preventive treatments such as fluoride applications and dental sealants.
- Educate patients-children and adults-on proper brushing and flossing techniques, diet, and lifestyle habits.
- Accurately document patient medical histories, treatment plans, and procedures performed using dental software.
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the dentist and other team members during patient exams and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain dental hygiene supplies and equipment, reporting any issues or needs to management.
Qualifications:
- At least 1-4 years of clinical experience.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene.
- Current and valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Massachusetts.
- CPR Certification or BCPR training preferred.
- Proficient in dental software and charting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patient, determined, passionate.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
