Dental Hygienist

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.
• Valid California dental hygiene license required.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Certification in local anesthesia administration is necessary.
• Laser certification is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with a diverse patient base.
• Ability to work efficiently with a dedicated assistant.

Responsibilities

• Review and update X-rays and chart notes while maintaining equipment.
• Document clinical narratives and probing depths for claims.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
• Sterilize instruments and manage hygiene supplies effectively.
• Perform prophylaxis and scaling & root planing procedures.
• Apply fluoride varnish and place sealants as needed.
• Educate patients on oral health and its connection to overall health.
• Foster a safe and organized clinical environment with professionalism.
