Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!
Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, application of fluoride and sealants
- Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
- Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient's oral health
- Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
- Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
- Sterilization of equipment
- Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
- Possess a professional and positive attitude
- Associate's degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
- Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined:
Available to work the following hours:
- Monday - 8AM - 5PM
- Tuesday - 8AM - 5PM
- Wednesday - 9AM - 6PM
- Thursday - 9AM - 6PM
Preferred Qualities:- Dental office experience
- Dentrix Ascend software experience
Salary Description
$45-52/hour
