Role descriptionJob Title: Cloud DevOps EnggLocation- Canada, ONJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Delivery Project Lead to oversee and manage the delivery of projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and infrastructure, along with a solid understanding of DevOps practices. The role requires expertise in microservices architecture, Kafka messaging systems, and Apigee for API management. The Delivery Project Lead will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with our strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:- Lead the planning and execution of delivery projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Utilize GCP and infrastructure knowledge to design and implement scalable solutions.
- Implement DevOps practices to enhance the efficiency of project delivery and operational processes.
- Oversee the development and deployment of microservices, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage Kafka implementations for real-time data processing and integration.
- Utilize Apigee for effective API management and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the delivery team.
- End-to-end drive the deployment plan, cutover plan or DR plan and make changes as per the suggestions from Business.
- Engaging with different teams like DBA, Application support, Windows integration team for various activities like performing patching on servers, changing configuration, etc.
- Also, playing a role of Project Co-Ordinator for sending daily status updates, coordinating with multi teams, sending reports, escalating wherever required, etc.
- Engaging with Change managers and getting the change approved from multiple support teams, getting involved in CAB meeting for smooth process.
- Go through the server logs and rectify the issues and highlight wherever needed.
Mandatory Skills:- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficient understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools.
- Experience with microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Familiarity with Kafka for messaging and data streaming.
- Knowledge of Apigee for API management and integration.
- Excellent project management skills with a focus on delivery and execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks.
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
- Experience in managing remote teams and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Google Cloud, DevOps, or project management are a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
