About The Opportunity
The DC Operations Manager will manage all aspects of the distribution center functions (on-site and off-site) including day to day planning, organizing, and operations to ensure maximum material flow and WMS management efficiency.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage day-to-day operations of plant supply chain, including inventory control, shipping, and receiving, production scheduling and procurement.

2. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the overall performance of the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

3. Execute and troubleshoot WMS related issues by identifying root cause of system failures impacting operations, including escalation to appropriate parties, and prioritizing outstanding issues.

4. Serves as a liaison between operations and Supply Chain Management.

5. Assists in process designs as they relate to WMS projects, testing and validation, and implementation benchmarks.

6. Directly oversee the inventory control, shipping, receiving, & warehouse activity for distribution center

7. Oversee the execution of procurement and scheduling to ensure service metrics and customer demands are met.

8. Identify, manage, and implement continuous improvement projects to ensure inventory accuracy and capacity utilization for raw materials, finished goods, and stock inventory.

9. Manage plant inventory investments including liquidating obsolete inventory, monitoring, and improving inventory turns and management of stock levels.

10. Maintain and implement appropriate shipping and receiving functions to optimize flow while facilitating a working warehouse and off-site warehouse, when applicable.

11. Manage and oversee all master planning data.

12. Manage and oversee the process of purchase requisitions and change requests from customers, plants, and suppliers.

13. Assist Plant Manager in planning and managing financial aspects of distribution center operating budget and expenses, including staffing needs and productivity to maintain cost-efficient operations.

14. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification

Level Required:

Bachelor's degree

Level Desired:

Master's degree

Experience to be considered in lieu of education

Work Experience:

Required:
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics

Desired:
• 2-5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment

Travel Requirements
• 5%-10% travel required
