Client is looking to partner with DXC Luxoft to support their Murex Sybase Oracle migration
Responsibilities
Own and drive the database conversion workstream end-to-end - not just execution, but planning, issue resolution, and delivery outcomes.
DBA activities will include, but not limited to:
Environment load(s)
Load optimizations
Environment maintenance
Environment upgrade(s)
Enabling new capacity for applications
Skills
Must have
Proven delivery of similar Sybase->Oracle conversion projects at major Financial Institutions
Strong expertise in RDBMS concepts including schema design, data migration, and performance tuning
Hands-on experience with Sybase to Oracle (or similar) conversion projects
Basic knwledge in SQL, Unix/Linux, and scripting (shell, perl, awk)
Strong understanding of Murex data model, configuration structures, and database architecture
Experience executing large-scale migration cycles including mock runs, reconciliation, and cutover
Strong experience in defining and executing data reconciliation and validation frameworks
Nice to have
Murex Experience is a plus;
