Education:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Job Duties:- Daily operational and database administration activities
- Plan, design, implement, support for database structures
- Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning
- Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation
- Perform SQL Code reviews
- Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff This resource may also be required to perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested
Job Specific Knowledge and Abilities:- Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS application integration, performance management and data base administration
- Advanced knowledge of upgrading DB2 for z/OS
- Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS catalog maintenance
- Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS sub-system point in time recovery
- Advanced knowledge of JCL
- In depth knowledge of the z/OS integrated platform
- In depth knowledge of CA GEN model management and application object support
- In depth knowledge of ISPF
- In depth knowledge of the ASG Scheduler
- In depth knowledge of COBOL
- In depth knowledge of the use and interpretation of DB2 for z/OS database monitoring tools
- In depth knowledge of the use and interpretation of z/OS software monitoring tools
- In depth knowledge of technical infrastructure implementation planning and coordinating
- Solid working knowledge of z/OS started task creation and management
- Solid working knowledge of IBI z/OS service support
- Solid working knowledge of AFOPER commands
